How to Connect WhatsApp
Connecting WhatsApp lets Walio send you real-time notifications about new posts and stories from your monitored channels. The setup takes less than two minutes.
Have your phone ready
You'll receive a one-time verification code (OTP) via WhatsApp during setup. Make sure your phone is nearby and WhatsApp is open.
Connection Steps

Open Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar to access your account configuration.

Select the WhatsApp tab
Switch to the WhatsApp tab at the top of the settings page.

Enter your phone number
Type your full phone number including the country code (e.g., +52 for Mexico, +1 for the US). Make sure the number is the one linked to your WhatsApp account.

Request the OTP
Click Send Code to receive a one-time verification code via WhatsApp. The message comes from Walio's verified business account.

Enter the OTP
Check your WhatsApp for the verification code and enter it in the field on screen. The code expires after a few minutes, so enter it promptly.

Verify your connection
Once the code is accepted, your WhatsApp connection status will show as Connected. You're all set.
What Happens After Connecting
Notifications are now active
With WhatsApp connected, Walio will proactively notify you whenever new posts or stories are detected on your monitored channels. You can monitor content, skip it, or set up automations — all from the chat.
