Monitor Your First Post
This is where the magic happens. The post monitoring wizard helps you set up automatic responses to comments and capture leads from your Instagram or Facebook content.
Starting the Wizard

Open Posts
Click Posts in the sidebar to see your monitored posts.

Add a new post
Click Add Post to open the 5-step wizard at
/posts/new.
Step 1: Select Channel
Choose which Instagram or Facebook account you want to monitor.
You'll see all your connected channels with their usernames and platform badges. Only active channels with proper permissions will appear.
Don't see your channel?
Go to Settings → Workspace and make sure your account is connected. Instagram accounts must be Business or Creator type.
Step 2: Select Post
Choose the specific post or story you want to monitor for comments.
For Posts:
- Browse your recent posts with thumbnail previews
- See like and comment counts
- Supports images, videos, and carousels
For Stories:
- Switch to the Stories tab
- Toggle "Show Expired" to see older stories
- Monitor story replies just like post comments
Select the content you want Walio to watch. When someone comments, your automation kicks in.
Step 3: Configure Trigger
Decide which comments should trigger your automation.
Respond only when comments contain specific words. Great for:
- Product interest: "price", "buy", "available", "link"
- Questions: "info", "how", "where", "when"
- Urgency: "need", "want", "urgent", "now"
Add up to 10 keywords. They're case-insensitive and detected even within other words.
Step 4: Setup Replies
Create the automatic comment responses that Walio will post.
Writing good replies:
- Keep them friendly and natural
- Include a call to action ("Check your DMs!")
- Stay under 200 characters (Instagram limit)
Example responses:
- "Hey! Love your enthusiasm. Check your messages!"
- "Perfect! Sending you the details via DM"
- "Glad you're interested! Check your inbox"
Add multiple variations
Create 2-3 different responses. Walio will randomly pick one for each comment, making your replies feel more natural and avoiding spam flags.
Supported variables:
{username}— The commenter's username{post_url}— Link to the post
Step 5: Configure DM
This is optional but powerful. Choose how (or if) to follow up with commenters via direct message.
Only post public comment replies. No direct messages sent.
Use this when you just want to acknowledge comments without starting private conversations.
Activating Your Post
Once all 5 steps are configured, click Create Post to activate monitoring.
Walio will immediately start watching for comments on your selected post. When someone comments (matching your trigger settings), your automation runs automatically.
What happens next?
New leads appear in your Radar. You'll see their extracted information, qualification score, and can take action—send a DM, add notes, or archive.
